Enjoy the New Year with Activities in Placer County

If you are like most folks, the end of the holidays often signals a sigh of relief. However, once the decorations are packed away for another year and your house is back to normal some may feel a bit out of sorts. Cabin fever is all too familiar, especially to those who live in Placer County, especially with the rain and snow that has already fallen this year, but luckily, there are all sorts of things you can do to keep you and your family busy.

A little history of Auburn

This year get out and enjoy all that Placer County has to offer with activities in Auburn, Folsom, Meadow Vista, Tahoe, Roseville, and Rocklin.

The Lifestyle Expo, happening tomorrow January 3rd, is the perfect place to be inspired and shake off the winter blues. This all day event starts at 10:00 am and runs all day until 4:00. Located at the Regional Park at 3770 Richardson Drive in Auburn, the Lifestyle Expo is the perfect place to discover a New Year and a new you with demonstrations, speakers and a shopping expo.

If the word gym is not in your vocabulary, but you would still like to burn off some of those pounds that seemed to creep up over the holidays, head up to the Twilight Snowshoe tours at Northstar Village in Truckee. The two and a half hour guided tour takes place at the Northstar Cross-Country Telemark Snowshoe Center at 5:00 pm and is an incredible way to enjoy the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

After departing, your group will begin the journey through the forest before heading into the Village at Northstar. The adventure also includes a warm up around the fire pit, smores and hot chocolate. Best of dogs on leashes are more than welcome. This great event is happening until March 7, so make your plans now.
